To new students who have decided to come to UC San Diego and Muir College in the Fall, welcome! We’re delighted that you’ll be joining us. All of us at the college are committed to helping you make your time here the best it can possibly be. We look forward to meeting you at one of the upcoming orientation programs for new students.
For freshmen, there will be four two-day sessions in June (June 18-19, 20-21, 22-23, 25-26) and a one-day session in September (September 18). We strongly urge you to attend one of the June sessions if at all possible. In June, you’ll have an opportunity to meet individually with an academic adviser to plan your Fall quarter courses before you register on-line in August. You’ll also meet other Muir students, new and continuing, with whom you can connect over the summer.
For transfer students, there will be two one-day orientation sessions in July (July 9 and July 10). Don’t miss this chance to meet Muir staff and students, get to know the campus, find out about housing opportunities including the new Village at Torrey Pines, and learn all the details about academic requirements before you register for Fall quarter classes.
