ENROLLMENT INFORMATION
FOR ALL MCWP COURSES

SUMMER 2008

Enrollment for Summer Session 2008 begins Monday, April 14. During the summer, our program has open enrollment and therefore offers no priority authorization. Students who have accumulated 90 units or more will still need to stop by the Muir Writing office for authorization. If you have any questions about this process you can call our office at 858-534-2522.

FALL 2008

Freshmen and Sophomore Students can register for MCWP 40 and 50 classes during their WEB-REG Appointment.*

Seniors need to come to the MCWP office for department authorization beginning
Monday, May 5 , 2008.

Juniors need to come to the MCWP office for department authorization beginning
Tuesday, May 6 , 2008.

• *Students who have completed more than 90 cumulative units are not able to enroll in any MCWP course without department authorization. Please come into the office starting Wednesday, May 7, 2008 for authorization.
• MCWP Course Descriptions will be available Monday, May 5, 2008.
• Please stop by the Muir Writing Program office, located in H&SS 2346, for more information. We are open from 9-noon and 1-4pm.

Enrollment Procedures

• Fall Quarter 2008 WebReg enrollment begins Wednesday, May 7, 2008.
• Students with more than 90 units will be blocked from enrolling in MCWP 50 via WEB-REG. The Muir Writing Program is no longer saving spaces for those students who have over 90 units. In order for Juniors and Seniors to enroll in MCWP 50 or 125, they must be added to a holding list. If you are a Senior, please come to the MCWP office to be added to a holding list starting Monday, May 5. Juniors should come to the office on Tuesday, May 6 . GRADUATING SENIORS WILL BE PUT ON A HOLDING LIST.
• First and second year students have priority enrollment for their first six quarters at UCSD. Topics do change from quarter to quarter, so a class you are interested in may not necessarily be available in a later quarter.
