Sophia is a San Diego native and Torrey Pines High School graduate. She graduated from UC Berkeley in 2011 with a B.A. in Media Studies and a minor in Creative Writing. While studying at Berkeley, Sophia served as a writing tutor and mentor in the Berkeley Student Learning Center and was an active member of her sorority.  During her final year, she participated in a summer abroad program located in Australia, where she photographed desert landscapes and debuted her photographs in an art gallery. Sophia is now involved with volunteer work for the San Diego Hospice and displays her artwork and photography wherever it is appreciated. A cross-country runner in high school, Sophia continues to be an avid runner and soon to be marathoner,  as well as a snowboarder, surfer, and animal-lover.  She plans to get involved with all that Muir has to offer.
