Jamie Browning, Program Assistant

Jamie is a curmudgeonly alien from London, England. He loves The Tubes. He has exquisite taste in music. Right now, he thinks Nina Simone is the best artist ever. He also loves roots reggae. He has a beautiful wife, Manda, who is a math grad and super-TA and a loving dog called Shelby who is into smells, sleeping and leaning into stuff. When he’s not here, he's on the board of Self Reliance House, a not-for-profit which provides media for homeless people. He’s an unrepentant gamer, his first love is Magic, and he also plays WoW. Jamie went to an international school in New Mexico and then Sussex University in England for Philosophy for a year before he ran away to get married. His favorite quote is from Reservoir Dogs, but it has a bad word in it. Jamie is a Radical Feminist Anarchist Marxist who thinks the Patriarchy sells some neat products. From time to time, he assists The Program.

Keiko is both fabulous and beautiful. Without her, all would be lost. She is also a dark horse at the game of jai a'lai. She cannot stand Kristin Chenoweth. Her favorite musician is Bjork.

Melissa has an unusual penchant for buggery.  She hates whiny girls on lifelong diets, roller-coasters, cheesy love stories, raisins, baby’s breath and carnations, weathermen, meek people, gypsies, pick-pockets on the metro, water balloons, wasting time on technicalities, boys that act like turds, math, living in snow, American Idol, pompous rich people, gardening, tailgaters, wannabe bad-asses and cats without personality. 

She loves ending with a positive note, crossing the line, bottom-of-the-ninth-3-balls-2-strikes-baseball, video games that contain fighting, comics, snappy poetry, zombies, writing, funny dogs, roses, The Beatles, people who say what they mean, a guy named Andy, fire, marmosets, freshly shaved legs, pajama bottoms, pub talk, London, her family, kindred spirits, Harry Potter, tulips, short stories with a twist, horror movies, the White Stripes, Flogging Molly, Star Wars, chocolate chip cookies, Guinness, and people who tell off-color jokes.
