T House!

The House

Nasrin Aboulhosn

Hey everyone! My name is Nasrin and I’m from Alhambra, CA, which is near Los Angeles. I’m a third-year Literature/Writing major with a Film and Video minor. I’m a huge book worm but I also love to learn how to play musical instruments (so far I’ve tried the piano, guitar, ukule, harmonica, and tambourine). My favorite television shows are Friends, The Gilmore Girls, and The Office. I love reading on the amazing apartment balconies but I’ve recently become obsessed with Mario Party and Guitar Hero, so if you are ever in need of another player give me a call!

Kateri Teschler

“Pretty women wonder where my secret lies
I'm not cute or built to suit a model's fashion size
But when I start to tell them
They think I'm telling lies.
I say
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips
The stride of my steps
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally
Phenomenal woman
That's me.”
~stolen from Jes who stole it from Maya Angelou

Also, my name is Jenn but many people call me Kateri (my middle name) because Jenns really run rampant around here. I’m one of the HAs of T House, which is a lot like living in the best house ever. Oh ya, because I AM living in the best house ever! Other autobiographical tidbits? I am an Environmental Systems: Biology major, Writing minor with a propensity for flapjacks (if you have to ask I will have to demonstrate) and uncontrollable laughter. I love my bicycle and the fact that it folds in half but I wish I would remember to bring it inside more often because I know that it gets cold and lonely out there. Starry nights away from city lights may be cliché, but they are also something worth lusting after. I really, really love reading Vonnegut in my underbed fort. Peanut butter is the worst food ever. I’d rather eat Vegemite. I am trying very hard to be a vegetarian and a better human, but bacon and selfishness can be disturbingly appealing. This is turning into a slight fracas of ideas, but generally I hope that you take away one: The House the BEST!
